Perspex Pendant Light

This perspex pendant light looks amazing, I love the way the warm glow of the light graduates through the separate sheets of acrylic. Looking at the light from different angles gives different light effects and colours. A very simple construction, consisting of multiple squares of acrylic with the centre cut out to accommodate the lamp/bulb, attached to each other with four spacers, one in each corner. This example called Shimmer is designed by Timothy Ben, made from 5 different colours of acrylic sheet and available in different colours and sizes. The colour options are only restricted by the variety of coloured acrylic sheet available, either using a single colour or multiple colours in the same lamp. It would even be possible to produce this so the panels could be interchangeable, giving different lighting effects as required. A really great product, giving us ideas for the future.
