Steel and Acrylic Chair

Ultra-modern seat design, made from two big slabs of acrylic which form the legs and sides of the chair, the series of rods which form the back and seat join them together. This design is obviously just a picture so has probably not been produced as yet, of the details are unclear, how are the rods fixed in the holes? If we were producing such a piece, for the sides we would use 40 or 50mm thick acrylic, polished all round and probably 10mm diameter stainless steel rods for the seat and back. These would need threads cut at either end, to fix each side of the acrylic sides with a stainless steel nut. A very simple design which looks great – not sure it’s built for comfort though!
